Papers and posters are moving into the congress
The submission period ended on 11 May 2026. This page keeps guidelines, resources and next steps available for authors and attendees.
What happens now with submitted work
Submitted papers and posters now move towards the congress programme, where they will be shared with an international audience of experts, academics and professionals.
Both accepted papers and posters will be exhibited and/or published as congress proceedings by Editorial UPV in open access, ensuring visibility and academic recognition.
In addition, an award will be given to the best paper/poster in each of the six thematic areas during the gala dinner.
Review
Double-blind peer review with 2 reviewers per paper.
Publication
Proceedings published by Editorial UPV, with DOI and ISBN, in open access. Included in Riunet and the Editorial UPV catalogue.

Next phase
The Editorial UPV OCS platform no longer accepts new submissions for CREFAD 2026.
Papers in the schedule
Sessions are integrated into the 1–3 July programme.
Poster exhibition
Posters will be part of the congress display and exhibition.
Proceedings and awards
Accepted work is eligible for open-access publication and thematic awards.

Papers are organised into six areas that connect research, practice and technology transfer.

Smart textiles, digital fashion, textile manufacturing

Bioprinting, medical devices, custom prosthetics
Education & science
Educational technologies, citizen science, teaching innovation
Requirements for papers
- Abstract: maximum 200 words
- Full paper length: between 5 and 20 pages
- Keywords: up to 10
- Languages accepted: Spanish, Portuguese or English
- Format: .docx using the official Editorial UPV template
- Signed rights assignment form required for publication
- Each paper must have at least one registered representative at the congress
Poster Requirements
- Layout templates can be found in the downloads section below.
- Size: A1 portrait format (594 × 841 mm).
- Design guidelines: All content (images, text, diagrams) must be placed within the dotted rectangle indicated in the template.
- Images must be high resolution to ensure correct print quality.
- A QR code linking to further information may be included in the top right corner.
- Final delivery: PDF format file, maximum size 10 MB.
- We recommend that the poster has at least one representative at the congress.
